Getting Started

There are three MAIN things you can do on BrandFM:

Search, Browse and Download - If you're looking for files and media, this is where to go. Search for what you want using the search box in the top left corner, or browse by your favorite flavour of company, brand or tag. Once you have found the files and media you want, you should add them to your cart. From that point you can download the files, request permission if you need it, or send the files to an associate using e-courier.
Upload Pictures, Products, Logos and Documents - If you manage the brand for a business, have products that need to be represented CORRECTLY in advertising, or have any kind of media that you would like to make readily available through a secure site on the internet, then you should create an upload account. Upload accounts can be free or paid depending on the amount of storage space you need. It's easy and free to get started! Enjoy.
Share Files - If you have an upload account, or permissions to another account, then you can share files with colleagues and associates. Most of the time you won't need to specifically share your files, but if you have made them restricted or private then you'll need to grant people download access to them. Additionally, you can declare people as uploaders or managers (can grant permissions) on brands, so that you don't have to do everything yourself.

System Requirements

This is a summary of the requirements to use BrandFM

Internet

Users must have a computer with an internet connection. Connection speed will affect the download speed of files.

Email

Users must have a valid email address in order to signup. BrandFM sends a validation email to the user email as part of the sign-up process.

Screen size

BrandFM has been optimized for computer screens with a resolution of 1080 x768 pixels. Smaller screens are very rare today and not recommended. If your screen is smaller then you will not see the whole screen and will have to scroll sideways to view the menus. Larger screens should have no problems.

Browsers

The following browsers have been tested and are supported:

Internet Explorer 6 & 7 (we recommend 7)
Mozilla Firefox
Apple Safari

Browser Settings

BrandFM uses Cookies for sessions so that you don't don't need to logon to every page and uses Javascript. Most browsers have both these thing turned on by default - so most users don't need to change anything. However if you're having problems you may want to check these settings or ask your IT person to do so.

Flash

For users who are uploading we have two upload methods, either mutilple files at once or single files at once. 'Multiple File at Once' uploads require the user to have the Flash 9 player plugin installed. Users with an earlier version may still upload but will only be able to use the basic single file upload.

Zips

All files that are downloaded are delivered as a .zip archive. Users should have software that can unzip or unpack a zip file. Most modern computers have this ability built in. However if you don't you may need to install an un-zipping application. There are numerous zipping (they zip and unzip) applications available, some free, some paid. Just Google: Zip software.
